Excellent relaxing holiday.
Great product & excellent customer service
Good value 10 day cruise from Trebes to Port la Nouvelle return. Staff at both the Trebes and Narbonne depots were friendly and helpful. Really relaxing holiday.
Neither of your listed cruises was ours. We pottered along the Canals du Midi & Rabine for a fortnight. I remember mooring at night, out in the countryside, with no-one else in sight. Meals taken on the sun deck with no passing walker or cyclist failing to wish us bon appetite. The drama of coping with locks when we were one of 4 boats inside. The lovely food & wine. The chance to look at the countryside as we drifted, slowly, by.
Carcassonne,. Castelnaudary and its cassoulet. The tranquillity of the etangs of the Rabine. Practising French on the lock keepers.
we started from Trebes on a friday ( which might have been the only negative to the trip) as all shops close early on Sat and dont open until Monday so missed out on a lot of the towns sights as everthing was closed so we traveled too quickly on the higher part of the canal. we loved the little towns, loved the wine (did not find a bad french wine) the markets in the little towns were an experience. we all enjoyed cycling even though we had not done it for years> it is a most relaxing and fun holiday to be done with good friends or family
i would recommend that you stop at all the little wine farms as we met so many interesting people and learnt so much about the local people. every little town had it own special thing to see and we loved the local butcheries and bakeries.
