Reviews for the The Little Midi Cruise
Great service, got what we asked for, staff helpful, stress free boating
Problem free great service
best holiday i have ever had. whole process from search to booking to arrival and instruction was so relaxed and easy
Everything with booking the holiday was excellent . The only comment to better it would be to be able to make the final payment via the internet rather than telephone
Everything about the voyage was great . Castelnaudary is a great base to start from as the town has many amenities and you also head down the canal towards Carcassonne , so an easier way to familiarise yourself with the lock system. The canal is also less crowded.
The staff were always friendly and helpful. I would have liked more information on things to do in the area and how to access transport to get there and back. I was hoping to use the app back in Australia to organize a rough itinerary, but couldn't download it to my samsung tablet. Most of the books written on the Canal du Midi don't give enough information and concentrate on historical background.
We had strong winds for the first few days and suggest others consider the benefits of bow thrusters in their choice of boats.
Perfect for 5 of us, 4 adults and 1 teenager. We were all inexperienced with canal cruising, but soon got in the swing of it all and thoroughly enjoyed negotiating the locks. Cooked on board each night, plenty of space and full facilities.
We marvelled at the beauty of the tree lined canal during early autumn. The light and colour of the leaves were enchanting. We all loved the lock houses, very charming.
