Reviews for the The Canal du Midi Cruise

A bit hard to have much interaction by email.
Very helpful. Instructions and driving lessons very good for 3 ladies who hadn't driven a boat before. A fantastic experience for us and we wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
Friendly helpful staff, boat was just as advertised and transport arranged in France to the base was good. We will be using them again.
As Above
Lovely canal, interesting locks and friendly lock keepers. Good time of year - weather good, canal not busy. Boat very nice, and in very good nick. Very little hassle. Staff friendly, and competent. Beautiful little towns close to the canal. Nice to cycle along the canal - rent the cycles, which were good for rentals.
Fresh baguettes every morning, lovely plane trees all the way. Enjoyed the very old, but well maintained locks. Carcassone old walled city marvelous. French people very friendly and helpful - lift back to boat from supermarket in Castelnaudery in shop's van. Still fruit on trees and grapes on vines, with harvesting.
Fantastic experience
Cycle to villages, meet other boaties, sightseeing and great eating.
The fun of sharing a boat and associated activities with friends was great fun. Most memorable experiences were: going through our first lock, the magnificent scenery and peaceful ambience of the canal, successfully doing a 180' in the canal, the disputes going through locks and realization that there can only be 'one captain', visiting Carcassonne which was beautiful, meeting other boaters and having a laugh and in general, the scenery.
Two days in Carcassonne, hiring bicycles and riding to small villages, mooring along the canal rather than at bases, take advice from LeBoat staff re timing and resist the urge to hurry at the beginning.
