Reviews for the Grand Classique
All my questions were answered. Boat worked well. Most things were thought of.
Good sized boat for 7 people. Handled easily. Well equipped except we should have been warned of the need to bring our own cleaning supplies. (We picked them up the next day, so not a serious problem.).
The service was excellent. There was no difficulty with language as everyone was fluent in English. All instructions were painless, and the details of the paperwork were simple and straight forward with no Hidden Costs! An Excellent 5 star service!!
Brilliantly comfortable boat, very easy to control. all of the party were satisfied and we look forward to our next holiday.
Not "if", but "when" we get the opportunity to go cruising again we would use Le Boat for sure. It was easy to contact them, both by email and by phone and the check in and check out process were handled quickly and efficiently. Information given for use on board whilst cruising was also good and useful and their online video's were of great assistance for first time travellers. All the staff we had contact with were professional and friendly and all spoke English. We found their prices competitive also.
We hired the 5 cabin/3 bath Le Boat Grand Classique for 3 couples on a family reunion. We used the 2 smaller cabins for changing and storing our luggage which was great and gave us more room. The kitchen was well equipped and we had a choice of 2 eating places which both accommodated 6 easily. There were no complaints with our beds and bathrooms either. It was also good to have 2 driving positions (inside and on the deck) which meant the captain could always be where the rest of us were. All the extras we ordered (bikes, BBQ, deck cushions) were in really good condition. The only downsides were : the wifi we ordered wasn't very good and there were 2 umbrella stands on board but no umbrellas which we didn't realize until after we'd left the base.

Hi Richard, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are glad you had such a great time, both before and during your trip. We look forward to seeing you again!
Every moment was memorable, from succeeding the locks to being enveloped in branches, just fun all the way. We met many like minded people and enjoyed their company en route. Carcassone and Homps were 2 of our favourite stays.b
It had everything we needed and comfortable for 12 people we expected it to be small.
Went south from Castelnaudary. Went in June so much less crowded (what a difference that made). Beautiful scenery along the entire way. Great food in restaurants, many of them right along the canal or short walk away. Daily croissants from the local bakeries. Lunches were on the boat with whatever we found at the local town/market as the locks close for lunch anyway. Fun wineries to visit/tour. Very reasonably priced local wines that were quite tasty. People very friendly/helpful even with not much English spoken. Walked through each town although could take take busses in Carcassonne and Beziers. Lots of churches/cathedrals. Dinners at a restaurant took 2-3 hrs each night, good pace to just unwind and relax.
staterooms very tight and passageways narrow, one person at a time. kitchen nicely outfitted, fridge a little small for the number of people on board. dining area just fine. spent most time on the top deck, plenty of room there, had 2 umbrellas which could have been larger. never ran out of hot water for showers (used judiciously), bathrooms good. played music thru the stereo via attached I-Pod. would recommend for larger groups that are ok w close quarters (we were), no regrets. filled water tank 3-4 times, easy to do. never needed to fill gas tank.
