We were very happy with the service. Kate in the Australian office was very helpful. When our itinerary had to change due to low water she communicated this in a timely manner. We felt that the briefing at Decize was a little too brief and that there was no explanation of safety features on the boat..eg how to use fire extinguishers. One of the best holidays I have had.

We had a fantastic short break on the Caprice from Portumna. Excellent service at base both when collecting and returning the boat and particular mention to Timmy and Sarah. Also to Ivan who kindly showed us some of the other available rental boats - we have already booked another trip next Easter based on this. The Caprice was a comfortable boat and everything worked well, the shore power was a bonus so we could have plenty of heat and hot water. I would happily recommend Emerald Star to anyone. Great trip - we really enjoyed ourselves and we wil be back

Very friendly staff, boat was well prepared and ready for us. Excellent handover as well. Bit of a delay for the boat handover, but that was not the yards fault, about 6 groups turned up together! This is a stunning area to cruise, the whole experience was wonderful. This was a once in a lifetime holiday for us, the boat was perfect and even the weather was fairly well behaved! Stunning scenery, excellent fun through the locks, but also, so tranquil whilst cruising. There were only 2 of us on Caprice, I am not sure if it would suit a family with young children as the steps up to the top deck could be an issue, would be OK for 4 adults I think, but no more than that. Nice toilets and showers, cooker and fridge we're fine.as well.

The people at LeBoat in Nieuwpoort we’re without exception helpful and much fun. The boat was perfect for four people, with comfortable, albeit small sleeping quarters. The canals were lovely, as was the Ijzer River. The towns were beautiful and the experience in Ypres moving. Bruges was s highlight!

Friendly staff, lovely cruising area and a good boat. The boat did however leak a bit in heavy rain. It’s all well organised it would be nice to have maps and guides earlier to help with planning.
