From our base at Marina Wolfsbruch – an impressive marina with spa and leisure facilities, you can cruise at your leisure through the Mecklenburg region, stopping to visit medieval waterside villages with their narrow cobbled streets lined with timber-framed houses. For impressive Baroque grandeur, don’t miss the lakeside castles at Schwerin, Rheinsberg, Fürstenberg and Neustrelitz, which punctuate the landscape and offer a glimpse into the aristocratic lifestyles of bygone eras. Our newly opened base at Jabel now provides excellent round-trip and one-way cruising options in this beautiful cruising area.

The Mecklenburg lake district – particularly around scenic Lake Muritz - is a perfect destination for watersports enthusiasts too; hire dinghies, windsurfers, canoes and kayaks for fun on the water or simply drop anchor and enjoy a refreshing swim before relaxing back on deck. Its lakes are also some of the fi nest fi shing grounds in Europe, making this a perfect destination for line and rod fi shermen. Eel, zander and carp can all be caught in abundance – and onshore, a visit to the fish smokehouses gives you a taste of the day’s catch!

"Germany’s lakes are simply stunning - and the facilities at the marinas are first class. It was great to have the bikes on board as this meant we could head off to visit some of the smaller villages and stock up on our provisions."

In the Brandenburg region, our base at Potsdam is perfectly placed for visiting the historic city of Berlin – an excellent city for sightseeing from the water. Don’t miss the futuristic architecture on Potsdamer Platz, the amazing glass-domed Reichstag building and the famous Brandenburg Gate. Potsdam’s quirky Dutch Quarter is great for shopping and its beautiful Rococo Sanssouci Castle often hosts open-air summer concerts – a perfect way to end the day! Visit the enchanting medieval town of Brandenburg with its many historical buildings set over three islands or head further east to the open waters of the Spreewald with its vast nature reserve for undisturbed peace and gentle cruising through meadows, forests and pretty villages.

"Feeding the birds from the deck of our boat as they swooped overhead is a memory I shall keep with me for many years. We came home totally refreshed and invigorated."
