Alternative Location: 
Three to four hours from Gray, after passing through the tunnel of Savoyeux, this is your first opportunity to explore a village and re-stock the boat.
The Port is a marina, alwxays full of interesting boats. In the village there is a saboterie where a local artisan makes wooden clogs in the traditional Franche-Comté style.

Atmosphere: Relaxed, informal.
Sadly the popular restaurant"Chez Berthe" burned down in 2007. Plans are being made to rebuild it, possibly in 2008.

The main street, ten minutes' walk from the port; or two minutes on a bicycle.
Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday, from 07h30 to 12h30 and 14h30 to 17h30. Closed on Sundays.
A butcher and a baker.
The Port de Savoyeux, operated by Saône Plaisance. ( A small charge). Alternatively it is possible to moor up on the canal bank opposite the port.
