Why do we recommend stopping here?

Wroxham is considered to be the capital of the Norfolk Broads, and is where boating holidays started in the late 1800's. It has become quite commercialised over the years with hotels, tea rooms and gift shops springing up near the river to attract holidaymakers to the village. 

What is there to see?

Wroxham bridge, and the large waterside properties here.

What can I visit?

The Bure Valley Narrow-gauge Railway is Norfolk's longest narrow gauge steam railway and runs between Wroxham and Aylsham, with intermediate stations at Brampton, Buxton and Coltishall.

Is this place famous for anything?

Roys of Wroxham claims to be the worlds largest village store, and out of town shopping experience!

There is a white bungalow where, it is claimed, George Formby used to live

Perfect for children but loved by all ages, Wroxham Barns Junior Farm, one and a half miles north of the village of Wroxham offers a hands-on experience in a real farmyard. You can enjoy the various animals antics, bottle-feed the spring lambs and autumn calves, collect your own eggs from the henhouses, and even exercise the ferrets! Entrance fee is £2.95 - under threes go free. The site also offers an art and craft workshop and is one of the most popular leisure attractions in Norfolk,
