Portumna Base

Timmy Walsh, base foreman, and his team welcome you to Portumna base which is situated at the Northern tip of Lough Derg. Timmy and his crew have 40 years experience in the boating rental business and will look after your every need and supply you with any local information you may require. Portumna town is a 10 minute walk from Emerald Star base and many points of interest including two golf courses, beautiful forest park and castle and its grounds. Many good pubs and Restaurants are also located in Portumna Town.

BASE OPENING HOURS

Monday - Thursday 09:00 - 18:00 (closed 13:00 - 14:00 for lunch)
Friday & Saturday  09:00 - 20:00 (open through lunch)
Sunday  10:00 - 13:00

LATE ARRIVALS

Sign left on Front door of Reception with Clients name and name of boat, boat will be moored outside reception door. Onboard clients will find a debrief notice on how to work fridge, cooker, toilets etc. If there are any problems, the emergency number is on front door for clients.

A fishing licence is required and this can be purchased on arrival at the base from the reception. Cost is approximately 7€ for 1 week.
