Base manager Florent Courbez welcomes you to Decize. Cruising through the Bourbonnais and Nivernais regions, a feeling of relaxation and well-being will overcome your senses. This is a region famous for it’s quiet way of life and is quintessential France.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE

Le Boat will be happy to arrange transfers from your arrival point to the base. Please complete our Taxi Transfer form and email, fax or post it back to the base at least 14 days prior to departure. The base receptionist will contact you directly to confirm details of your transfer.

PRE-ORDER YOUR GROCERIES

Order one (or more) of our 2 grocery packs, which will be ready on board for you when you arrive:

1) “Sundowner Pack” - all the essentials for your first evening on board
2) “Starter Pack” - all you need for your first night & morning.

Monday - Saturday: 08:30 - 12:30  14:00 - 18:00
Sunday: Closed

LATE ARRIVALS

If you are going to be arriving at the base late, you will need to inform the base directly or the general sales office where you booked. When you arrive at the base there will be a note on the reception door informing you where your boat is. The boat will be left open with the lights on for you to stay on board that night. The base staff will do the full briefing the following morning.

In Decize town centre you will find a number of shops plus the local supermarket (Intermache 300m). The town centre is situated just 5-10 minutes from the base.

ATTRACTIONS

To fish in this region you will require a license.  Please contact the base for further information.  Other attractions and activities include the Sunday morning market, the ruins of Chateau of the Comtes de Nevers, the remains of the ancient town fortifications and the clock tower, Prommenade des Halles walk of 985m with old plane tree's and linden tree's.
