Gray Base
Base Manager Olivier Turpin welcomes you to Gray. We’re sure you will never tire of cruising these beautiful waterways – there’s so many places to visit, wines to taste and sights to see. Your base at Gray on the River Soane was once a thriving port for the wine, wheat and iron trades and evidence of the region’s rich cultural and trading heritage is plain to see in the surrounding towns, villages and countryside. Medieval and Renaissance-era homes, churches and monasteries – many topped by the region’s distinctive multihued tiles roofs – line your route in every direction and are sure to add to your lasting memories of this beautiful region..BEFORE YOU LEAVE
Le Boat will be happy to arrange transfers from your arrival point to the base. Please complete our Taxi Transfer form and email, fax or post it back to the base at least 14 days prior to departure. LATE ARRIVALS
There will be a note on the reception door informing you where your vessel is. The boat will be left open with the navigation book on board and a member of staff will see you the next day.HOTELS AND RESTAURANTS

Fishing is allowed between June 1st – 30th SeptemberFishing permit is required for 30€ and is available to buy at the base reception. You can also purchase a licence from the fishing tackle shops across the bridge from the base.

ATTRACTIONS
Plage de Gray (approx. 5min walk): Mini Golf, play park for children, picnic area with barbecue facilities available, swimming (open air swimming pool on the river).
Musee Baron Martin (approx. 10min walk): Art exhibitions and animations in the heart of the Chateau de Gray. Open every day except Tuesday. From 2nd May till 30th Sept, 10:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 18:00. It is open between 14:00 - 17:00 for the remainder of the year.
