12 May 2016 / Sydney, Australia: Le Boat, Europe’s largest operator of boating holidays, and Delphia Yachts have officially launched a new range of high-spec, self-drive boats for couples and smaller groups.
As part of a €15 million investment, this exceptionally designed Horizon is the perfect balance of inside and outside space. Comprising the largest top-deck of any boat of its size, a sunbathing area, outside seating area plus a bright and spacious saloon with excellent all around vision, the Horizon sets the new highest standard in European inland waterways boat travel.
Cheryl Brown, Managing Director at Le Boat announces: “It is my great pleasure to unveil the first boat in our new, Horizon fleet at our official launch in St Jeans de Losne, Burgundy on 21st April 2016.” Brown continues: “For the last few weeks and months we have been working tirelessly with the Delphia boat building team in Poland to ensure every last detail has been considered, planned and built to the highest spec. To see this magnificent boat develop through the various build stages, seamlessly pass the sea trials and now arrive in France ready for the first holidays is a great credit to all involved from our customers to the Le Boat and Delphia teams!”
Designed specifically to meet Le Boat customers’ desire for comfort and class, the Horizon benefits from a modern state-of-the-art galley, open plan layout and generous headroom. It sleeps four people, in one light and spacious stateroom and a second smaller cabin with full-size mattresses, plus there’s a comfortable settee. On-board home comforts include a flat screen TV, MP3 entertainment system plus with waterproof speakers on the top deck and USB ports in both cabins.
President of Delphia, Piotr Kot, says: “We have very much enjoyed working with Le Boat on designing and building our tailor-made, purpose-built model and we look forward to it being the start of a long and happy partnership as we roll out the rest of this stylish and feature-packed fleet.”
Simon Cross, President of TUI Marine, comments: “I am delighted with our new boat! Horizon is pleasing to the eye, delivers on comfort and practicalities and is a boat we are sure our customers will love. We have seen a great customer response to the Horizon since it went on sale in November. All our new boats are fully booked for 2016 and 2017 is filling up fast.
Brown reveals: “We are already in discussions with Delphia Yachts about further investment into our boating fleet, by extending the range of Horizon boats we offer. Watch this space!”
This launch kicks off the first wave of 16 new boats being added to Le Boat’s fleet this season. Horizon will be available in all of Le Boat’s key cruising areas, including the Canal du Midi and Burgundy in France, as well as Germany, Holland, Italy and the UK’s River Thames.
